Friendship Exchange Privacy Policy

Your privacy is our priority. This policy explains how we handle your personal data across our WordPress site and administrative tools.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information necessary for matchmaking, including:

  • Registration Data: Name, approximate location, birth date, contact details, and verification photo (via an Ultimate Member registration form).
  • Profile Data: Additional personal information and photos for creating your profile (via Google Forms, Ultimate Member, and UM Gallery).
  • Mini-course Submission Data: Answers from the four mini-courses (Google Forms), which contain personal information.
  • Technical Data: IP addresses and site usage via WordPress cookies.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • Internal Matchmaking: Your data is used by Jill Ellington and the FE Admin to calculate compatibility using personal vetting, optional statistical analysis, and expert opinion.
  • Controlled Sharing: Your profile and photo(s) are only shared with a potential match after FE has vetted the connection and both parties have expressed interest. Your contact information is only released to a match after mutual consent and payment of the matching fee.
  • Service Delivery: We use your data to process payments (via Stripe, PayPal, or WooCommerce) and schedule meetings (via Timetics). Service providers are subject to change.

3. Data Storage & Security

  • Administrative Access: Data is managed by the FE Administration Team.
  • Tools: We utilize a secure mix of WordPress database storage, encrypted Google Sheets, and local administrative files (Microsoft Office).
  • No Third-Party Sales: We never sell or lease your data to third parties. Data is only shared with essential service providers (like payment processors) as needed to run the business.

4. Your Rights

You may request to view your data or place your profile on “Inactive Status” at any time by contacting FE in writing. Inactive profiles are hidden from all matching searches. If a profile remains inactive for more than one year, it may be removed from the database unless a request for extension is filed.
