Friendship Exchange (FE) is a personalized matchmaking service by Jill Ellington responsible for over 500 marriages (scroll down to see history below). FE believes that God has a specific plan for your relationship journey. Jill is a Seventh-Day Adventist Christian with over 22 years of matchmaking experience and wholeness ministry. FE is dedicated to helping everyone not only become wholly fitted for life, but also to find a marriage partner who shares your faith, values, and vision for the future.
How It Works: The “No-Browse” Advantage
Unlike traditional dating apps, Friendship Exchange is a private, curated matchmaking and counseling service.
- Expert Vetting: FE vets each member to ensure they are genuine.
- Complete Privacy: Your profile is never public. No one sees your photos or information except FE administration.
- No Browsing Profiles: FE finds and gives you matches one-at-a-time for you to carefully consider. You don’t waste time scrolling through profiles or sending lots of messages not knowing if someone is truly interested.
- Intentional Connections: When FE finds a potential match for you, both parties are vetted for interest and availability before any contact information is exchanged. This way, when you contact your mutual match, you can rest assured they are interested and want to talk with you, avoiding unnecessary embarrassment and heartaches.
The FE Educational Core
Regardless of your tier, every member completes four Biblically-grounded relational mini-courses to ensure that everyone in the database is “Wholly Fitted 4 Life” and prepared for a Christ-centered marriage:
- Marriage Concepts, Roles, and Expectations
- Communication and Conflict Resolution
- Finances, Goals, Health, and Leisure
- Intimacy, Family, and Parenting
These also serve as surveys to help determine compatibility in the matchmaking process.
Choose Your Path
We offer two ways to join our global database of Christian singles, designed to fit your budget and your desire for personal mentorship.
1. Base Tier Membership
Perfect for those looking for an affordable entry point into a high-quality, vetted database.
- One-Time Registration Fee: $10
- Mutual Matching Fees: $5 (Paid by the male only if a match is accepted by both parties).
The Process:
- Register (select Base Tier)
- Create your profile and upload your photos (you can even embed YouTube videos).
- Complete 4 self-guided mini-courses with companion videos.
- Your profile is added to our member database and you receive periodic matches to consider (depending on availability of compatible members).
- If you and the other party accept the match, a mutual matching fee is paid, and contact info is released.
- Talk with the mutual match for as long as you like to determine whether you will get married.
- If you decide to get married, Hooray! Mission accomplished!
- If you decide it is not going to work out, respectfully let the other match and FE know, and FE will give you another match.
Service Level: You go through all forms (including mini-courses) yourself; no personal interviews/consultations with Jill.
2. VIP Tier Membership
Designed for serious clients seeking personalized human matchmaking, relational mentorship, and proactive searching.
The Process:
- Register (select VIP Tier).
- Create your profile and upload your photos (you can even embed YouTube videos).
- Do a personal interview (initial consultation) with Jill.
- Complete mini-course 1, then do a 1-on-1 discussion of it with Jill.
- Repeat the Step 4 for mini-courses 2 through 4.
- Your profile is added to our member database and you receive regular matches to consider (depending on availability of compatible members) from the VIP Tier as well as Base Tier if no VIP Tier members are deemed compatible.
- If you and the other party accept the match, a mutual matching fee is paid, and contact info is released.
- Talk with the mutual match for as long as you like to determine whether you will get married.
- Additional counseling sessions from Jill are available before and during the time you are talking with your mutual match to guide you through the connection.
- If you decide to get married, Hooray! Mission accomplished!
- If you decide it is not going to work out, respectfully let the other match and FE know, and FE will give you another match.
Service Level: Personalized 1-on-1 consulting and VIP matchmaking.
VIP Tier Fee Schedule:
- Registration and Initial Consultation: $150
- Guided Mini-Courses: $300 ($75 per session, including 1-on-1 discussion with Jill).
- Mutual Matching Fees: $5 (if matched with a Base member) or $50 (if matched with another VIP member) paid by the male only after both individuals agree to the connection.
- (Local Only) Photography Shoot: $25 (20 minutes, local Southern California only) — Perfect for ensuring your profile photos reflect your best self.
- Additional Consultations: $25 per 20 minutes of counseling session.
